Anyone who has gone through the process of potty training a very stubborn and defiant 3 year old boy knows what frustration is. You also know that your patience is tested beyond just about anything else you've ever experienced.
Accidents are not a big deal, but PURPOSELY wetting or pooping their pants just to get you to change them and "cater" to them will make you learn all about self-control and patience. _________________ Reputation is what others know about you, Honor is what you know about yourself. |

haha potty training has been one of the more interesting things in our house.
Both R and his brother are non-verbal. We managed to get R trained after a few days of not wearing bottoms. This removed his security blanket of having something to go in, which left the potty (included several potty only toys and an M&M for success).
S hasn't crossed that bridge yet. Last time we tried he ran through the kitchen giggling followed by a yellow stream at which point my wife informed me that he wasn't ready and if I doubted it I could take a few days off work .
I have seen posts of foster families who have deal with kids who actually spread poo all over the room. I just hope we never have to deal with that one. I am not sure how to deal with that one. |
