Why Do I Love You?

This evening, I was playing with my son in preparation to take him up to bed and read him a book before tucking him in.  My wife was busy writing something, but I wasn’t really paying much attention to what she was doing.  After I came back downstairs, she handed me some paper with the things she was writing.  Here is what she wrote:

“Because you have always been true to your beliefs.  Because you believe in me.

Because you make me a better woman.  Because you are physically, mentally and emotionally healthy.

Because you believe in God.  Because you are honorable.  Because you are a great father.

Because I can do anything and have fun doing it, because you enjoy it.  Because you know how to love.

Because your family comes first.  Because you are real.  Because you make my life a success.

Because you don’t do easy, stupid things.  Because you are smart.  Because you are a happy soul.

Because you never give up.  Because I am at ease and peace in your arms.  Because we were meant to be together!”

The question… “Why do I love you?”  Those are the answers.  With her permission I have now shared with you one of the many reasons that I love HER.  After 13 years of marriage and 2 kids, she still does the little things that make me feel good.

Happy New Year.
