The Day after Christmas
26 December 2008 in UncategorizedBetween the record snowfall we have been experiencing and getting things done for Christmas, I haven’t written as much here as I planned. The snow is still here, although finally starting to melt. We had over 15″ at our house, an amazing accumulation for our area. Next up is all of the flooding that’s about to occur when the snow does melt this weekend. I feel bad for all the people who have been without power for days now. That’s no fun, especially at Christmas time.
We had 2 very nice celebrations, one with my wife’s family on Christmas eve, then with my family on Christmas day. I enjoy spending time with family, visiting and playing. The food was great, the gifts were fun and the togetherness was why I love this time of year.
Unfortunately, I woke up Christmas morning with a headache and sore throat. I have been attacking it aggressively ever since. Lot’s of vitamin C, hot tea, water and rest. I am feeling much better tonight and hope that it’s about gone.
Tomorrow we will take down the tree and the other decorations around the house, and try to put everything away. Right now the house is in chaos with stuff that needs to be organized and put away. Typical for this time of year. I will leave the outside lights up until after the new year.
Have a great week, and remember to tell your friends and family about Dadsworld.com
