New Dad of the Month, Mark Schmeltzer
31 January 2009 in UncategorizedThe new interview is up, so be sure to go and check it out! Mark did a great job on the interview, and we are proud to have him as our February 2009 Dad of the Month!
I am very happy personally to have Mark as our this month’s feature. He has 4 beautiful daughters, a fantastic wife and a very strong family. I remember being around his 2 youngest daughters when they were just little girls, around 7 or 8 years old, and I thought to myself, “When my wife and I have kids, I hope they turn-out like these girls. ” They were so polite, so well spoken, extremely positive and full of enthusiasm. NOT at all like the movies shows little girls acting. Now that my wife and I have a son and a daughter, Mark and his family continue to be an inspiration for us.
I used to ride around with Mark while he called on different logging companies in NW Oregon, and we would talk about parenting and his philosophy on raising his girls. His “old fashioned” style really resonated with me. Not that he is “old fashioned,” but having strong moral convictions and really living by them seems to be an older value… based on what’s common these days.
Not only is Mark an excellent Dad and family man (one who takes care of his family), but he is also an incredibly successful salesman. Having the sales gene myself, I was always impressed with Mark’s ability to build relationships and really care about his customers. He is easy to like and has a good sense of humor, which helps I’m sure. Mark is a quality person. He, like me, doesn’t have hundreds of casual friends, but instead he has life-long friends who really care about him. Salt of the earth.
Mark has fought Leukemia for several years now, and has undergone more health issues and frustration than anyone should have to endure. All the while his attitude has stayed positive, and his sense of humor is intact.
There are a lot of good things to admire about Mark Schmeltzer, so I hope you will read his Dad of the Month interview. He opitomizes the involved, loving Dad that www.dadsworld.com is here to promote! :)

I have known Mark for over 15 years and he has been a major influence to me and my family. He is down to earth with common sense values and that has led him to greatness as a family man and a leader in the business world, this world needs more Mark Schmeltzer’s.
