New Dad of the Month Interview!
11 January 2010 in UncategorizedCort Horner is our January 2010 Dad of the Month! We are very pleased to feature Cort, and he did an outstanding interview. Cort is a sophisticated and classy guy who fits exactly with what Dadsworld stands for… A loving Dad, a capable and intelligent man, Cort easily transitions from white collar work to outdoorsman and self-reliant guy.
Being from that world (white collar work yet a competent outdoorsman and having a self-reliant attitude) means Cort represents a huge segment of men in our society. Too often the media portrays men as one or the other…a capable, self-reliant man (blue collar, moderate to conservative, street smart) -OR- intense, intellectual, and interested in current events (white collar, moderate to liberal, book smart.) MOST of the time these outdated stereotypes by the mainstream are just NOT complete or accurate.
There are so many men and Dads out there who represent what I call the backbone of America. Men who might work in professional capacites, yet enjoy the outdoors, family, traditions and hobbies of middle America. These men are not represented adequately in our culture, yet we are a large segment.
Dadsworld is here to tell you that we are out there. Some of us are blue collar working Dads, and others are white collar executive Dads. Some of us hunt, others work on cars. ALL of us are self-reliant, do-it-yourself types who can get things done. Retro guys. Proud Dads. Dads for life.
I encourage you to read Cort’s interview. Thanks for supporting involved Dads and getting the word out about www.dadsworld.com
