Happy New Year!

Dadsworld wishes you and your family a tremendously successful 2010.

The past 3 years have been very tough financially for most of us, and it’s about time to turn things around.  So much of our economy is based on public perception, and people are tired of the recession.  By the way, do you know what follows recessions?  Expansions.  What follows Winter?  Spring.  EVERY TIME.

Life happens in cycles, and we are coming out of the darkness (financially) and into the light.  Oh we are not there yet, but it’s coming.  Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Dadsworlds wish for you is abundance, prosperity and excitement.  The world is an abundant place, it’s just not always coming our way.  We need to use our own tools (intelligence, contacts and ideas) to take advantage of the Spring.  If you haven’t read it yet, I recommend Jim Rohn’s book Seasons of Life

One of my New Year’s resolutions is to read more.  I used to read a book each week, and lately that has turned into a book a month or so.  Now I’m back on the learning, growing and developing path.  The benefits are many, not just in the knowledge I am gaining, but also in how I FEEL about myself.  How you feel about yourself is so important.  As Wayne Gretsky said, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”  Our own confidence determines how many “shots” we will take, and by reading (excercising, eating better, etc) and working on ourselves our confidence goes up.  That leads to more successes which raises our confidence even more.  It’s the snowball effect.  The opposite is true too, however.  If we don’t work on ourselves, we don’t tend to try things or stick with them, then our confidence goes down.  With dwindling confidence, we try even fewer things and end up wallowing in our own apathy.  The snowball effect again.

January 1 is exciting because it presents us a clean slate.  We can make the year whatever we choose.  My wish is that you choose to make it a great year, an abundant year.  Go for it.

As Benjamin Franklin said, “The best thing you can give your child is a good example.”  Be the kind of person that makes your children proud.  Be their inspiration.  You are the role model, so do your best.

The winner of the January 2010 free t-shirt drawing is Paul Pindell from Eugene, Oregon!  Be sure to sign up on the homepage for your automatic entry into our drawings.
