Brett Favre coming back with a new team?
11 July 2008 in UncategorizedIt looks as though Brett Favre might not stay retired after all. He has asked for a release from the Green Bay Packers, with whom he was on the “retired/reserve” list. He did have 3 years left on his contract worth $39 million. He retired in March, but has recently emphatically expressed his desire to play in the upcoming season.
Many football fans, including myself think Brett should stay retired. He can only hurt his image at this point, and diminish his legacy as the great Green Bay quarterback. But hey, he can do whatever he wants. I’m sure it’s very difficult to leave a game you have spent most of your life playing. I guess that’s why these things happen so often.
