3 Fantastic new car Reviews are up!

14 April 2008 in Uncategorized

We have 3 great new car reviews up on the main Dadsworld.com site.  Go to the Autos section and check them out.  The Ford Mustang Bullitt edition, the 100% electric Tesla Roadster, and the Novitec Rosso Ferrari 430.  Any of these cars would make a great addition to my garage!

The Mustang comes in at around $31,000.  It has 375 horsepower and a host of upgrades from the stock version, including better suspension, brakes and 18″ coke bottle wheels.  This is the first review from our friend Jeff Zurschmeide at www.NorthwestAutoReview.com  I invite you to take a look at his well done webstite.

The Tesla Roadster is an electric masterpiece.  0-60mph in 4.0 seconds for an electric car?  A redline of over 13,000 rpm?  Yep.  Base price is $98,950.  The problem is that the test car had a 2 stage transmission, the production model will only have 1.  That means 0-60 times of 5.7 seconds, not 4.0.  Still good, but not supercar caliber.  It gets the equivalent of 105 mph compared to a gas powered car.  The batteries of the Tesla and the Toyota Prius are the real environmental problems with the cars, but they do save gas.  I imagine it’s pretty weird to cruise around with only a whisper of sound coming from the car!

My favorite, of course, is the Ferrari Novitec Rosso 430.  What an incredible piece of art.  I have always loved Ferrari’s, and Novitec just made the fantastic 430 even better (if that’s possible.)  This is a 636 horspower, Italian Fire breather.  0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds.  It’s redline is 8,200 rpm.  If you have never heard the scream of a Ferrari from behind the wheel, in person, I strongly encourage you to experience it.  It is pure heaven.  Price?  As the saying goes, “If you have to ask…”
